SORRY BOSTON (c) 2006

This is very rough but it's kinda what I have in mind. A southern
boy who moves north and likes it but not enough to change his roots.
Notice, even though he's frustrated and leaving, I try to keep his
image of Boston positive. Kick back your ideas. Thanks. JD

Sorry Boston
Dearman-Gray

My job stinks
It truly does
Takes sixty hours just to make enough
To pay the bills
There's nothing left for thrills.

I don't know how
People make it here
The days fly by and dissappear
Like a cloud of dust
Behind a Greyhound Bus.

(pre-chorus)
It's time to change the scenery
I know exactly what I need

(chorus)
Mississippi moons
Alabama stars
Tennessee Mountains
Luziana bayou's
Florida beaches
Georgia peaches
Carolina ocean scenes

Bluegrass pastures
In Kentucky
Soybean fields
In Arkansas
That's the world I really long to see
Sorry Boston
You just ain't my cup of tea.

(bridge)
I love the Red Sox and the lobsters
The way the leaves turn in the fall
The history of our fore-fathers
The funny way the natives talk
And oh hell yes I love the Celtics.
Man they have played some basketball
But everyday here is another fast break
And that's just not me at all...

(ch)
I need..
Mississippi moons
Alabama stars
Tennessee Mountains
Luziana bayou's
Florida beaches
Georgia peaches
Carolina ocean scenes

Sweet Virginia
Shenandoah
River flowing wild and free
That's the world I really long to see
Sorry Boston
You just ain't my cup of tea.

Sorry Boston...you just ain't my cup of tea.
